Cookie Policy
Last Updated: March 23, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Startworks Technologies Private Limited ("STARTWORKS", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the EquibudX platform ("Platform"), including the website equibudx.com / equibudx.in, mobile applications, and related services. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
By using the Platform, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this policy. You may withdraw consent at any time via our cookie preference centre (accessible via the "Manage Preferences" link in the cookie banner or the footer of any page).
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to the site owners. Similar technologies include web beacons, pixels, local storage, and session storage — we refer to all of these collectively as "cookies" in this policy.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
We group cookies into the following categories based on their purpose:
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are set by our server and are essential for authentication and platform security. They are all HttpOnly — meaning they cannot be accessed by JavaScript and are handled solely between your browser and our server. They do not require your consent.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| jid | HttpOnly refresh token. Keeps you logged in between sessions and is used to silently reissue short-lived access tokens without requiring re-login. Set to 30 days when "Remember Me" is selected. | 7 days / 30 days (Remember Me) | EquibudX |
| jwt | HttpOnly access token. Authorises your requests to protected API endpoints. Automatically refreshed via the refresh token before expiry. | 15 minutes | EquibudX |
| cc_cookie | Stores your cookie consent preferences set via the cookie banner. | 6 months | EquibudX (CookieConsent) |
2.2 Local Storage & Session Storage
In addition to cookies, we use browser localStorage and sessionStorage to support authentication and anonymous session tracking. These are not cookies but are similar technologies stored on your device. They do not require consent as they are strictly necessary for the platform to function.
| Key | Storage Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| accessToken | localStorage | Stores a copy of the JWT access token for injecting into API request headers. Cleared on logout. | 15 minutes (auto-refreshed) |
| currentRole | localStorage | Stores your active role (client or coach) so the correct dashboard is shown on page refresh. Cleared on logout. | Until logout |
| session_id, session_start_time, session_user_id, session_role | sessionStorage | Stores anonymous session identifiers used to measure session duration for Amplitude analytics. Only written after login and cleared automatically when the browser tab is closed. Only transmitted to Amplitude if analytics consent is granted. | Until tab is closed |
2.3 Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Platform — which pages are visited most, how long users stay, and where they come from. All data is aggregated and anonymised where possible. These cookies are only set after you give your consent.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes unique users for Google Analytics reporting | 2 years | Google Analytics (GA4) |
| _ga_* | Maintains session state for GA4 measurement | 2 years | Google Analytics (GA4) |
| _gid | Identifies a user session for Google Analytics | 24 hours | Google Analytics (GA4) |
| AMP_* / amplitude_id | Tracks anonymous usage events (page views, feature interactions) via Amplitude. No personal data or session replay is captured. | 1 year | Amplitude |
| _cs_id | Stores Contentsquare user ID. Used to identify unique visitors. | 13 months | Contentsquare |
| _cs_s | Stores Contentsquare session identifiers to group events during a single session. | 30 minutes | Contentsquare |
2.4 Payment-Related Cookies (Strictly Necessary)
When you initiate a payment on the Platform, our payment gateway provider Cashfree may set cookies necessary for secure transaction processing, fraud prevention, and session integrity. These are strictly necessary for payment to function and are outside our direct control. They do not require your consent under GDPR/DPDP Act.
| Provider | Purpose | Policy Link |
|---|---|---|
| Cashfree Payments | Secure payment session, fraud detection, transaction integrity | cashfree.com/privacy-policy |
3. How Long Do Cookies Last?
Cookies are either session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (remain on your device for a set period or until manually deleted). Refer to the duration column in each table above for specifics.
4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have full control over non-essential cookies. You can manage your preferences in the following ways:
- Cookie Preference Centre: Click "Manage Preferences" in the cookie banner or in the footer of any page on the Platform to update your consent at any time.
- Browser Settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies via settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent core features from working. Common browser guides:
- Google Analytics Opt-Out: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Amplitude Opt-Out: Amplitude respects your consent preference set via our cookie banner. In development mode, tracking is automatically disabled.
- Contentsquare Opt-Out: Contentsquare respects your consent preference set via our cookie banner. In development mode, tracking is automatically disabled. You can also opt out of Contentsquare tracking entirely on all websites using the Contentsquare Cookie Policy & Opt-Out page.
5. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Currently there is no industry-standard interpretation of DNT signals; we do not alter our data collection practices in response to DNT signals, but you can use our cookie preference centre to control tracking directly.
6. Updates to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in the cookies we use or applicable regulations. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. For material changes, we will notify you via a banner on the Platform or by email.
